960 Women Begin Career Journey Through Şişecam Project

The first phase of the "Women Advancing Toward the Future" social responsibility program, launched by Şişecam as part of its 90th anniversary, has been completed. Under the program, 960 young women from 9 different provinces took a strong step in their career journeys by participating in training and project development processes.

The first phase of Şişecam's "Women Advancing into the Future" corporate social responsibility programme, launched as part of the company's 90th anniversary, has been completed. Within the programme's scope, 960 young women from 9 different provinces participated in training and project development processes, taking a strong step forward in their career journeys.

Young women from Istanbul, Kocaeli, Mersin, Eskişehir, Bursa, Kırklareli, Ankara, Balıkesir and Denizli received a total of 13 training courses covering STEM, artificial intelligence, personal development and leadership. During the programme, 7 experience-sharing sessions were also held with the participation of Şişecam executives.

48 innovative projects developed
At the ideathon organised at the end of the programme, participants developed 48 project ideas focused on social benefit. The projects offered solutions in areas such as technology, sustainability, gender equality, local development and social innovation.

Science-based educational approach
The programme was designed in line with UNESCO's recommendations on inclusive education, mentoring and technology-focused skills development. Within this scope, the aims were to increase young women's access to future competencies, strengthen them in STEM and artificial intelligence fields and support their participation in innovation processes.

Focusing on social impact
Şişecam positions gender equality among its corporate values, and with this programme aims to unlock young women's potential and increase their participation in working life. The programme is intended to contribute not only to individual development but also to social equality, economic dynamism and innovation capacity.
