Singer, which stands beside women through its state-of-the-art sewing machines and social responsibility projects, is now launching a new initiative. In cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, Singer has begun opening training courses at Public Education Centers across Turkey for a 5-year period. The signed protocol includes the establishment of vocational and technical courses at Public Education Centers and Regional Singer Service facilities, such as machine operation courses, sewing and embroidery design courses, and upholstery courses, enabling women to develop manual skills and acquire professions. The aim is to provide 600 women with professional qualifications in the first year, and 3,000 women over 5 years... The project, launched by Singer under the slogan "Educated Individual, Educated Society," aims to enable course participants to contribute to family budgets and thus to the country's economy, change their professions, realize their personal capabilities, develop their hobbies, improve their collaborative work skills, and achieve self-sufficiency. Participants attend classes of 20-25 people for periods ranging from 3 to 6 months and receive certificates proving their professional qualification. Upon graduation, participants gain knowledge of machinery and, depending on the course type, learn sewing, embroidery, design, and upholstery preparation skills, enabling them to meet their own needs as well as acquire the capability to provide professional services by opening sewing and embroidery workshops. Anyone who is a Turkish citizen and has completed primary education can participate in Singer's Machine Operation Courses. Singer Education Coordinator İlknur Eşiz, expressing the brand's emphasis on women's education, states: "We believe it is appropriate to proceed from the fact that the contributions of our women, who constitute half of our country's population, to our social development will be possible through their personal development. Investment in women yields its best return in the form of competence. In this context, we elevate manual skills courses to higher levels by combining them with our branded products (Singer & Pfaff). The widely accepted saying 'Tools do the work, hands earn the praise' comes into play precisely here. As an upper-segment machinery supplier, Singer Sewing Machines General Directorate contributes to Turkish women's education through our mechanical, electronic, and computerized home-use machines."
