Leadership Change at Shell&Turcas

Shell & Turcas Petrol AŞ has made a change in senior management. Effective 1 January 2026, Oğuz Uçanlar has been appointed CEO of the company. Emre Turanlı, who has served as CEO of Shell & Turcas since 2020, has been appointed Senior Vice President responsible for Shell Mobility, Global Marketing and Licensed Markets.

Emre Turanlı, who has served as Shell & Turcas CEO since 2020, has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President responsible for Shell Mobility, Global Marketing and Licensed Markets.
OĞUZ UÇANLAR BECOMES SHELL & TURCAS CEO
Oğuz Uçanlar began his professional career at Booz-Allen-Hamilton in the United States, where he provided consulting to senior management of multinational companies on company mergers in retail, automotive, technology and finance sectors, operational efficiency, financial discipline and market entry strategies. Following this period, he managed entrepreneurial activities in the retail and construction sectors in the United States.
Upon his return to Turkey, Uçanlar took on senior-level positions at Bain & Company and Anadolu Grubu. During his tenure as CEO of McDonald's Turkey, he led the brand through a comprehensive restructuring process. Most recently serving as CEO at Adel & Faber Castell, Uçanlar spearheaded organizational transformation, added international brands to the company's customer portfolio and enabled the company to achieve one of the highest financial performances in its history.
A graduate of Boğaziçi University, Uçanlar completed his MBA programme at the University of Michigan. He is married and has two children.
EMRE TURANLI APPOINTED TO GLOBAL ROLE AT SHELL
Emre Turanlı, who has served as Shell & Turcas CEO since 2020 and was the first Turkish executive to hold the CEO position at the company, has begun his new role as Senior Vice President responsible for Shell Mobility, Global Marketing and Licensed Markets as of 1 January 2026.
Under his new role, Turanlı will take charge of managing Shell's global marketing strategies, serving 47,000 stations across more than 70 countries through mobility operations and daily 33 million customers. He will also be responsible for 60 licensed markets, which include major fuel markets such as Australia, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Greece and Argentina.
In addition to this position, Emre Turanlı will also serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell Brands International AG.
