Shell to Produce Lubricants for Komatsu

Komatsu, ranked among the world's leading construction equipment manufacturers, will have its original products and after-sales maintenance oils developed by Shell and produced at the company's Mineral Oil and Grease Production facilities in Derince.

Shell supplies various mineral oil products to serve customer needs across sectors including automotive, energy, steel, construction, mining and general manufacturing. In this direction, Shell has signed a new agreement with Marubeni Dağıtım ve Servis A.Ş., a subsidiary of Japan-based Marubeni Corporation.

Going forward, Shell will develop and produce mineral oils for Komatsu, one of the most important players in the global construction equipment market. The mineral oils produced at Shell's Derince facilities—the company's only grease and largest mineral oil production facility in the Mediterranean—will be developed for both original maintenance oils and after-sales applications.

Shell Mineral Oils, selected 16 consecutive times as global market leader by Kline & Company, develops and produces products with superior technology through strong R&D efforts. Shell's mineral oil portfolio comprises Shell Helix and Shell Rimula motor oils for the automotive sector, as well as industrial oils such as Shell Tellus, Shell Omala, Shell Mysella and Shell Argina, plus Shell Gadus grease products.

In 2022, Shell Turkey achieved sales of 150 million litres of mineral oils and greases.
