Major Meeting Brings Together Industry Leaders

Major Industry Meeting Kocaeli Chamber of Industry 4th Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition The Kocaeli Chamber of Industry 4th Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition will be held on 12-13 September 2023 at the Kocaeli Convention Center. The Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition, which brought the industry together for the third time in 2022, will contribute to industry development in 2023 through presentations and conferences by expert speakers and serve as a meeting point for sector professionals.

Strong Interest in Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition

Kocaeli Chamber of Industry coordinated and organized by Chem Media/Artkim Group, the third symposium attracted substantial industry professional participation. At the event, 'Process Safety', a subject of major importance for Turkey's future, was evaluated comprehensively across 5 sessions and 26 presentations. At the symposium program where process safety regulations, applications, technical knowledge, R&D, products and services were shared with the industry, topics including SEVESO III Directive, ATEX Directives, Pressure Vessels/Equipment, CLP Regulation/SEA Regulation, REACH Regulation/KDDIK Regulation and the Impact of Digital Transformation on Process Safety were discussed. Sessions addressing the precautions necessary to ensure continuous protection attracted more than 2,000 visitors over the two days.

Exhibition and Commercial Workshop Areas Flooded with Visitors

At the 2022 symposium, 40 domestic and foreign companies exhibited new products and technologies in the exhibition area featuring industry stakeholders. At this exhibition area, which saw a flood of visitors, company representatives and attendees gathered; alongside presentations delivered by representatives from numerous companies and institutions during the workshop program, visitors also obtained important details on process safety from 19 poster presentations displayed at the venue. Visitors who participated in virtual reality applications using VR headsets over the two days had the opportunity to experience "fire suppression, LOTO and hazard hunting" scenarios free of charge.

4th Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition to be Even More Comprehensive

Aiming to further develop the symposium in 2023, coordinator Kocaeli Chamber of Industry and organizer Chem Media/Artkim Group continue their work in collaboration with public institutions, ministries and industry, drawing on experience gained from previous events. The 4th Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition, supported by the Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, and nearly 20 civil society and media organizations, will be hosted at the Kocaeli Convention Center, one of the Marmara Region's most impressive cultural complexes.
