Support from SANKO for Young People

SANKO Support for Youth SANKO Holding will be among the main sponsors of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, this year as well. SANKO continues to support youth energy by maintaining its role as organizer of the Environment and Energy Technologies Competition, which it has undertaken since 2020, at TEKNOFEST 2023. SANKO Holding remains among the main sponsors of TEKNOFEST for the fourth time, supporting young people who will produce future technologies, aiming to raise awareness about technology and science across society and increase Turkey's human resources trained in science and engineering fields. Through the Environment and Energy Technologies Competition, the goals are to create a culture of renewable energy use and energy efficiency in society, increase awareness on productivity and environmental issues, and develop innovative and technological ideas. The competition aims to reveal energy-efficient and environmentally conscious application projects and technologies implemented by industrial operations, enabling the sharing of knowledge and experience, and generally increasing energy efficiency in the industrial field.

Interest in Environment and Energy Technologies Growing Year on Year

SANKO Holding's Environment and Energy Technologies Competition continues to attract growing interest each year. The TEKNOFEST 2023 Environment and Energy Technologies Competition, to be organized in 'University and Above Level' and 'High School Level' categories, received applications from 19,485 teams and 55,625 competitors from Turkey and abroad. SANKO Holding served as organizer of Environment and Energy Technologies competitions at TEKNOFEST held in Gaziantep in 2020, Istanbul in 2021, and Trabzon and Samsun in 2022. At TEKNOFEST 2020, the Environment and Energy Technologies competition received applications with 1,468 team projects, while at TEKNOFEST 2021 there were 2,462 team applications. At TEKNOFEST 2022, 8,778 applications were submitted. Within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2023, the Environment and Energy Technologies Competitions organized under SANKO Holding's leadership will take place in Izmir between 16-19 March 2023.

Young People Will Compete to Realize Their Dreams

This year as well, thousands of qualified young people from primary school level through middle school, high school, university, postgraduate and graduate levels submitted applications to technology competitions organized in different categories to realize their dreams. TEKNOFEST 2023 features 8 competition categories for primary school level, 9 for middle school, 29 for high school, 37 for undergraduate and above, and 24 for graduate, entrepreneurship and private sector participants. The festival will host 41 different technology competitions including Rocket, Model Satellite, Artificial Intelligence in Transportation, Biotechnology Innovation, Digital Technologies in Industry, Flying Car Design, Education Technologies, Robotaxi Autonomous Vehicle, Agricultural Technologies and Robotics competitions, which young people follow with great interest. Unlike 2022 technology competitions, applications were received for the first time in the Technological Applications in Psychology category. Over TRY 13 million in prize money and over TRY 30 million in material support will be provided for the world's largest technology competitions organized within TEKNOFEST. TEKNOFEST technology competitions, Turkey's largest-prize technology competitions in history, will be organized in 2023 with 41 main competitions and 102 subcategories.
