Nine Companies from Samsun on TİM List

TİM announced Turkey's top 1,000 export companies based on their 2021 export volumes. Samsun succeeded in entering the list with 9 companies this year. Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), congratulated the Samsun-based companies that made it into Turkey's top 1,000 exporters and wished them continued success.

Our Exports Continue to Grow Exponentially

Chairman Murzioğlu said that the active presence of Samsun exporting companies on the list is a matter of pride for the city's economy. "I congratulate all our companies on the list, along with their employers and workers. Our companies that have secured a place among Turkey's major firms in the top thousand through their export activities are truly commendable. We cannot praise enough the stars of our city that produce and create added value. We are aware of how important a factor exports are in development. As we all know, Samsun broke records last year by exporting over USD 1 billion for the first time in its history. This year's indicators are even better than last year. Our exports continue to grow exponentially. Today, Samsun is a province that exports to more than 150 countries worldwide. But is our current position in exports sufficient? No, it is not. Samsun should be in better places. We have this potential. As a chamber, we are making efforts to mobilize all auxiliary factors that increase exports. Our wish is to be able to contribute more to our country's development by conducting more exports. God willing, we will reach the target we have set by working together hand in hand," he stated.

TİM's traditionally annual "Top 1,000 Exporters Report" has been announced. In the list of the top 1,000 companies with the highest exports in 2021, Samsun entered with 9 companies. In the released report, Yeşilyurt Demir Çelik Endüstrisi ve Liman İşletmeleri A.Ş. with USD 381,089,680.95 in exports ranked 52nd on the list and 16th in sector ranking. Sampa Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which ranked 23rd in sector ranking, entered the list at position 110 with USD 182,329,406.43 in exports, while Samsun Yurt Savunma Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş., which ranked 10th in sector ranking, achieved USD 77,482,761.83 in exports and ranked 311th in Turkey's overall ranking. Ulusoy Un Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş. entered the TİM list at position 323 with USD 75,780,610.53 in exports, ranking 23rd in sector ranking. According to 2021 data, Sürsan Deniz Ürünleri Dış Tic. Anonim Şti also ranked 398th among Turkey's top 1,000 exporters with USD 65,021,302.51 in exports, while ranking 6th in sector ranking, making it a source of pride for Samsun. Another important brand from Samsun, Borsan Kablo Elektrik Aydınlatma İnş. San. ve Ti. A.Ş., ranked 439th on the list with USD 59,083,793.69 in exports and 32nd in sector ranking. Özyılmaz Fındık San. ve Tic. A.Ş., which entered the list from 14th in sector ranking, entered at position 790 with USD 34,660,756.4 in exports, while Elis Mücevherat ve Kuyumculuk Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti entered at position 910 with USD 30,470,561.59 in exports and ranked 37th in sector ranking. Another source of pride for Samsun, AS Çelik Döküm İşleme San. ve Tic. A.Ş., entered the list at position 934 with USD 29,709,709.98 in exports and ranked 26th in sector ranking.
