Rönesans Enerji Signs EPC Contract for Its First Solar Power Plant Investment

Rönesans Enerji targets USD 2 billion in green energy investments for 2,000 MW by 2028. The company is investing in 189 MW of wind power in addition to its existing 166 MW capacity, while launching its first hybrid solar project with a 4.6 MWp installation.

Rönesans Enerji, a joint venture between Rönesans Holding and TotalEnergies, signed an EPC contract with Cora Enerji for its first solar project. With this solar investment, Rönesans Enerji will prevent approximately 4,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

Emre Hatem, Board Member of Rönesans Holding and Head of Energy Group, stated that Rönesans Enerji's first solar investment will be integrated with Kale HES and Osmancık HES, both hydroelectric facilities operated by Rönesans Enerji and located in Amasya. Hatem explained that hybrid solar systems totaling 4.6 MWp will be installed, with 3.5 MWp integrated with Kale HES and 1.1 MWp integrated with Osmancık HES, adding that the facilities are planned to be commissioned by year-end.

Currently holding total project capacity of 726 MW—comprising 166 MW operational, 194 MW under construction, and 366 MW in development—Rönesans Enerji aims to realize approximately 7 to 10 percent of the green energy investments planned in Turkey's National Energy Plan through 2028 with its total 2,000 MW investment programme.
