Raben Group Makes a 10 Million Euro Logistics Investment in Thessaloniki
Raben Group, one of Europe’s logistics companies, has put into operation its new 4,000-square-meter logistics terminal in Thessaloniki, Greece. Built on a 50,000-square-meter plot of land, the facility will provide service with 40 loading and unloading docks, a cold storage warehouse for fresh food products, and a 1,200-square-meter office area. While the first phase of the total 10 million euro investment in the Thessaloniki region has been completed, the second phase is planned to bring an additional 15,000 square meters of storage space into operation.

Raben Group is expanding its logistics network in the Balkans with its investment in Greece. Having completed its first year of operations in Türkiye, the company opened its new logistics terminal in the Sindos district of Thessaloniki.

Built on a dedicated 50,000-square-meter plot of land, the facility consists of a 4,000-square-meter logistics operation area, as well as 40 loading and unloading docks, a cold storage warehouse for the transportation of fresh food products, and a 1,200-square-meter office area.

While the first phase of the 10 million euro investment package planned for the Thessaloniki region has been completed with this facility, the second phase of the investment aims to bring an additional 15,000 square meters of storage space into operation.

Türkiye-Greece Logistics Corridor Strengthening
Raben Group Regional Director Bartlomiej Lapinski stated that the Thessaloniki investment is important for the company’s logistics network across Europe.

Noting that Raben Group operates in 17 European countries including Türkiye, Lapinski stated that the new terminal will contribute to strengthening connections along the Greece-Türkiye route as well as with the rest of Europe.

Stating that the logistics infrastructure in Greece is positioned as a complementary element of Raben’s Türkiye and Europe network, Lapinski said that partial export shipments carried out to Greece via Raben Türkiye are also continuing.

Thessaloniki, an Important Route for Access to Central and Eastern Europe
It is stated that strengthening Thessaloniki’s position as a strategic logistics hub opening up to Europe is important in terms of the routes used by Türkiye-based exporter and importer companies to access Central and Eastern European markets.

With its investment in Thessaloniki, Raben Group aims to directly contribute to regional supply chains and strengthen logistics connections between Türkiye and Europe.

Daily Services from Greece to Europe
With the new terminal becoming operational, Raben Group has also launched daily transport services between Greece and Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Austria.

The company offers different shipment options ranging from partial loads to full truckload transportation through its own transport network. Depending on the route, delivery times vary between 24 and 48 hours.

Through Raben Group’s digital logistics platform myRaben, pricing within 24 hours, full shipment traceability, and end-to-end tracking with a single shipment number are provided.

With the Thessaloniki investment, Raben Group aims to further strengthen its logistics connections between the Balkans, Türkiye, and Central and Eastern Europe, and to increase its capacity in regional supply chains.
