Prof. Dr. Zeki Candan Elected to COST MecaNano Working Group
Prof. Dr. Zeki Candan Selected for COST MecaNano Working Group
TÜBA Young Academy Member, Founder of the Biomaterials and Nanotechnology Research Group | BioNanoTeam and Faculty Member of the Forest Industry Engineering Department at Istanbul University Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Zeki Candan has been selected for the European Union COST Action CA21121 Working Group.
To overcome the environmental crisis facing humanity, there is an urgent need for new materials with enhanced performance and durability. There is scope for significant advances at the nano scale where different properties emerge. Research at this length scale has intensified strongly over the past twenty years.
The relevant COST Working Group aims to combine the expertise and resources of European researchers to overcome different bottlenecks that limit the investigation of size effects.
