Polisan Holding Receives Low Carbon Heroes Award

The 9th Istanbul Carbon Summit, organized by the Association for Sustainable Production and Consumption (SÜT-D) with the support of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Istanbul Technical University, hosted the Low Carbon Heroes Awards Ceremony. Polisan Holding was among the institutions honored with an award. At the Low Carbon Heroes Awards Ceremony held as part of the 9th Istanbul Carbon Summit, Polisan Holding received an award for its success in carbon management. Polisan Holding, which continues to support its climate change mitigation strategy with energy measurement and monitoring systems strengthened by its digital infrastructure and efficiency-enhancing projects, was recognized with the award for its successful carbon management practices. Cantekin Dinçerler, CEO of Polisan Holding, made a statement on the matter. Expressing that they are working with all their strength to build a better future with human-centered approaches, Dinçerler said, "In our 5-year strategies, we set a target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emission intensity by 25% in 2025 compared to 2019, we achieved a 15% reduction rate last year and we are focused on our year-end 2025 target."

Polisan Holding prevented 1,562 tons of carbon emissions

Dinçerler stated, "With our ISO 50001 energy management system, our remote energy monitoring system, our new investments aligned with green and digital transformation, and our efficiency-enhancing projects, we continue to reduce our absolute emissions and emission intensity every year. Last year, through process-focused efficiency initiatives alone, we achieved energy savings of 3,494,000 kWh/year, preventing 1,562 tons of carbon emissions. Tackling environmental and social issues that threaten our world is an integral part of our corporate strategy. The award we received at the Low Carbon Heroes Awards Ceremony has further motivated us as recognition of our efforts in this field," he concluded.
