Planet and BASF Partner in Agriculture
Integrated aerospace and data analytics company Planet and BASF announced they have signed a commercial agreement to ensure European farmers receive satellite imagery and data in a timely manner to enable more effective agricultural decision-making.
BASF will use Planet's daily, global satellite imagery to develop analytical information to support field metrics and insights for its digital agriculture platform brand xarvio™.
Planet Chief Commercial Officer Nate Dickerman said, "This partnership further demonstrates the value of Planet's daily satellite data in the agriculture industry. Planet's high-frequency, medium-resolution imagery is a perfect fit for BASF's xarvio™ products across Europe.
Together with BASF, we look forward to supporting sustainable agriculture through digital farming."
