Pierre Fabre Launches 'Nature and Child' Themed Project

Nature and Children Project from Pierre Fabre Pierre Fabre has launched the "Yeşilçam Nature and Children Film Festival" under its "Respect for Green" mission with unconditional contributions, targeting to reach 5,000 children in 16 villages of Mardin. Through this project, the aim is to reach 5,000 children in 16 villages, one disability rehabilitation center, and the Mardin Children's Home. Pierre Fabre, a French pharmaceutical and dermocosmetic brand with a 60-year history, launched the "Yeşilçam Nature and Children Film Festival" as of 1 September to instill awareness and love of nature in children. Throughout September, the festival will feature activities with children in Mardin villages including litter collection, tree planting in schools, circus performances, viewing of 5 short films on nature themes, and voting on the short films. In this way, children will have fun while learning to protect nature. The jury members for the preliminary selection of films on the subject of "Nature and Children" include Spanish Director Daniel Matesanz, Hollywood-successful Films Director Tekin Girgin, Award-winning Mardin Director Necdet Yiğit, Award-winning Director of Photography Halil İbrahim Çevik, Pierre Fabre Turkey General Manager Dr. Hande Demirdere, and Pierre Fabre Turkey Green Mission Ambassador Canan Akyurt. After their preliminary selection, the chosen films will be voted on by children. Having reached approximately 2,000 children so far and continuing in many villages of Mardin, the festival's Mesopotamia Circus World events completed the Hocaköy School stage on 13 September and the Direkli Hacı Ahmet Irmak Primary School stage in Derik on 14 September. The "Yeşilçam Nature and Children Film Festival," which started in Alakuş Village on 1 September and subsequently completed stages in Akyazı Village, Eroğlu Village, Kızltepe Association for the Disabled, Karakuyu Village, and Bektaş Village, will continue through 23 September in various villages, rehabilitation centers, and children's homes. The finale of the project will be held in Mardin on 1 October, World Children's Day and World Habitat Day, with special guests.
