PaintExpo Eurasia and STT Eurasia Fairs to Be Held in Istanbul in October
The press conference held in Istanbul last week, providing information about both fairs, was hosted by Artkim Fuarcılık, Germany's FairFair GmbH, and Galder Genel Galvanizciler Derneği.
The 3rd Industrial Coating Technologies Fair PaintExpo Eurasia, organized by Artkim Fuarcılık and FairFair GmbH, and the 2nd Surface Treatment Chemicals, Galvanic Chemicals and Technologies Fair STT Eurasia will be held at Istanbul Fair Centre between 15-17 October.
Last week in Istanbul, a press conference was held providing information on both fairs, hosted by Artkim Fuarcılık, German company FairFair GmbH, and Galder General Galvanizers Association.
More than 100 companies and company representatives from 16 different countries will participate in PaintExpo Eurasia Fair, which will be held at Istanbul Fair Centre. Exhibiting companies will present their products and services ranging from pre-treatment to quality control to fair visitors.
Speaking on behalf of FairFair GmBH, which has organized PaintExpo, the world's largest fair in its sector, in Germany for years, Markus Beck expressed great satisfaction with the interest in PaintExpo Eurasia, which they have organized for the 3rd time since 2011 together with Artkim Fuarcılık and which constitutes the Eurasian leg of the fair.
Beck noted that there is significant participation and visits to the fair from abroad, and said that thanks to the fair, which will provide an important contribution to companies maintaining and further strengthening their competitive power at national and international levels, "visitors will be able to access a complete range of products and services from pre-treatment to quality control that represent the entire sector".
Chemical Sector ranks 3rd among Turkey's top export sectors
Speaking on behalf of Artkim Fuarcılık, FairFair GmbH's business partner in Turkey, at PaintExpo Eurasia Fair, General Director Ahmet Güler stated that more than 20 percent of the previous fair area has been sold for the 3rd Industrial Coating Technologies Fair.
Güler drew attention to the fact that the chemical sector ranks 3rd among the sectors making the largest contribution to Turkey's exports, saying "from white goods to automotive, from architecture to energy sources, from plastics to electronics and countless other sectors, the quality, cost and environmental compatibility of paints and coatings are gaining increasing importance with each passing day".
"Playing a critical role"
Speakers noted that industrial coating technology, whether wet spray painting or powder coating, plays a critical role in all areas of industry and daily life today, stating "Paint protects surfaces made of metal, plastic, wood and other materials from mechanical, chemical and physical attacks, and this protection increasingly requires higher quality standards.
On the other hand, paints and coatings are now beginning to directly affect sales. The appearance and tactile characteristics of a flawless paint coating create added value in products and this stands out as one of the important factors affecting purchasing decisions".
Growing Interest in Surface Treatment Technologies
Providing information about STT Eurasia Fair, which will host more than 50 companies and company representatives from 7 countries, Artkim Fuarcılık Projects Sales Manager Çağdaş Kardaş stated that they expect the fair to be visited by more than 2,000 domestic and foreign industry professionals.
In addition to Turkish companies, the 2nd Surface Treatment Technologies Fair STT Eurasia will also host companies from France, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Austria and Korea.
This year the fair, which expects an increase in foreign visitors particularly from Iran, Turkic Republics, Middle East, North Africa and Eastern European countries, will bring together all industry professionals concerned with surface treatment, coating and galvanic chemicals, facilities and equipment.
Speaking about the fair, Artkim Group Director Cengiz Yaman stated that they received requests for simultaneous organization of a fair covering surface treatment and technologies together with PaintExpo Eurasia Fair, and subsequently decided to carry out a joint organization.
Cengiz Yaman said "By observing the development of sectors such as Automotive, Shipbuilding and Yachting, Heavy Equipment, Aluminum, Galvanizing, White Goods and Electrical Appliances, Pipe, Iron and Steel, Energy, Aviation and Defence Industry, we decided to organize STT Eurasia Surface Treatment Technologies Fair simultaneously with PaintExpo Eurasia Fair from 2013 onwards".
Speaking on behalf of Galder General Galvanizers Association, General Secretary Burcu Akyüz Akman expressed great satisfaction with the creation of a "Galvanizing Coating Pavilion" within STT Eurasia Surface Treatment Technologies Fair for the first time this year.
Akman, noting that as an association they aim to promote the use of hot-dip galvanizing coatings, provided information on hot-dip galvanizing coating, a technique that is more economical, longer-lasting and more environmentally friendly compared to the galvanizing sector and alternative corrosion protection methods, and expressed that they welcome all industry representatives to the fair.
