Self-Financing Project in Ordu

ORKENT AŞ, established by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality with the slogan "Building Healthy Cities, Delivering Next-Generation Solutions," continues to create projects that add value to Ordu. Construction has begun on the first phase of the Yeni Mahalle urban transformation project, which is the first in Ordu and the largest in the region on an area basis. The project also finances itself through its own revenue model.

Orkent A.Ş is implementing the Yeni Mahalle area-based urban transformation project, the first in Ordu and the largest in the region, in the city's commercial and business center declared a risky area by Cabinet Decision in 2015, using a self-financing model. After nine years of hardship, shopkeepers and property owners are finally seeing relief. In the urban transformation project launched for a more livable and safer city, a transformation is being carried out with the voluntary consent of citizens that will add value to their property. In the project, discussions and contract signings with rights holders continue without interruption. Technical personnel provide citizens with detailed project information both in field work and at the urban transformation office, answering all questions. Foundation and ground reinforcement work has been completed at the Yeni Mahalle Trade Center, the first phase of the project being built on a 58,000 square-meter area. Along with excavation work, office and shop sales continue. Offices and shops of varying sizes are awaiting buyers with payment convenience and installment options.

Ordu's largest urban transformation project

The project consists of 420 apartments in 2+1, 3+1, and 4+1 configurations and 100 commercial spaces, 200 offices and 20 shops. The most important feature of the project is its 15,000 square meters of green space. The project, which previously had no green areas, will thus integrate with Ordu's natural landscape. ORKENT AŞ Chairman of the Board of Directors and Urban Transformation Specialist Architect Dr. Nihat Şen, commenting on the matter, stated: "Yeni Mahalle, an exemplary urban transformation project in its architecture, functionality, and financial system it produces, will resolve the long-standing problems of shopkeepers. Existing industrial shops will be moved to their new locations after construction is completed beforehand, ensuring that business owners do not lose a single day of work. Rights holders will receive rent support during the construction period without losing their rights. Thus, with the area-based urban transformation that finances itself from within, which we have emphasized for years, we believe we will set an example for our country while building healthy structures in our city."
