Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has once again received global recognition for its strong performance in the field of intellectual property. The company was selected for the 14th time to the "Top 100 Global Innovators 2026" list compiled by Clarivate Plc. Mitsubishi Electric ranked 17th on this year's list.

Global success powered by patent strength

Tomoko Ishii, Senior General Manager of Mitsubishi Electric's Corporate Intellectual Property Division, made the following statement on the matter:

"We are honored to be selected for this list again. While conducting our intellectual property activities in integration with our business and development strategies, we are also positioning these rights as a starting point for collaborative innovation. Our goal is to create strong and quality IP structures that contribute to solving social problems."

Japan maintains leadership
In the 2026 list, companies from 13 countries are represented, while Japan continues to be the most represented country with 32 companies.

A strong technology player on the global scale
Mitsubishi Electric, with a history spanning over 100 years, operates in many fields such as information and communication technologies, energy, industrial automation, transportation and building systems.
