Top ranking among 226 laboratories
The Round Robin competition, which refers to a "league-format tournament" in sports, aims at the correct analysis of minerals in multi-element samples.
Eti Bakır R&D Center ranked first among all participants by achieving results with zero standard deviation in gold, copper, silver and lead analyses. When other elements were also included, the center's average deviation value was ±1.
"A period with no room for error"
Eti Bakır R&D Center Director İbrahim Göktaş shared the following information, drawing attention to the difficulty level of the competition:
"In the competition, laboratories are given multi-element samples whose content has been pre-verified. To succeed, it is necessary to obtain results within a maximum ±3 standard deviation range. Since work is done with a single sample, there is no error tolerance. We achieved perfect results with zero deviation in four elements."
Opening doors to international projects
Göktaş emphasized that the success achieved confirms the center's analytical accuracy and compliance with international standards, and noted that this result will serve as an important reference for new projects.
In the coming period, Eti Bakır R&D Center plans to:
- Increase university-industry collaborations
- Participate in EU-supported circular economy projects
- Expand Horizon Europe applications
- Take part in the TÜBİTAK 1832 Green Transformation in Industry Call
