Mehmet Göçmen: "A New Phase Is Beginning at Sabancı Holding"

Sabancı Holding has announced new executive appointments within its Group leadership structure. Ata Köseoğlu, currently Head of Strategy and Business Development, will assume the role of Head of Retail Group. Cenk Alper, currently CEO of Kordsa, will take on the position of Head of Industrial Group. The Industrial Group will encompass Brisa, Kordsa, Temsa Bus, Temsa Construction Machinery and Temsa Automotive divisions. Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu will head the Cement Group alongside management responsibility for Yünsa. The new appointments become effective from 1 April. Mehmet Göçmen, Sabancı Holding CEO effective 30 March, commented on the restructuring: "As Sabancı Holding, we are undergoing a transformation at this new stage. We believe that with a dynamic and efficient structure centred on continuous improvement and high synergy, we will carry our Group forward into the future more healthily. Our new organizational structure has been designed to make all our systems and processes more productive. We have implemented this restructuring by drawing strength from within our own organization, through internal promotions and assignments. I wish all my colleagues success in their new roles."

ATA KÖSEOĞLU

Ata Köseoğlu graduated from Boğaziçi University's Department of Mechanical Engineering, followed by a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in the United States and an MBA from Boston University. Beginning his banking career in 1987, Köseoğlu served as Deputy General Manager at Finansbank from its founding until 1994, and subsequently held positions as Managing Director at Bear Stearns in the United States, Société Générale in France, and Credit Suisse First Boston Bank in the United Kingdom. Working with the BNP Paribas/TEB Group from 2006 to 2011, where he served as Board Chair and CEO of TEB Investment, Köseoğlu has spent the past six years as Head of Sabancı Holding's Strategy and Business Development Group. He also serves as Deputy Board Chair of Çimsa and is a Board Member of Enerjisa and Carrefoursa.

MEHMET HACIKAMILOĞLU

Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu graduated from Boğaziçi University's Department of Civil Engineering in 1993 and completed an Executive MBA at Sabancı University in 2001. Between 1992 and 1993, he worked as a Site Engineer at Üstay Construction and joined the Group in 1993, working at Betonsa as Ready-Mix Concrete Plant Manager and Investment and Planning Manager. He served as Strategy Development and Planning Manager at Akçansa from 1997 to 1999, as General Manager at Agregasa from 1999 to 2001, and as Finance Coordinator at Akçansa from 2001 to 2003. He was appointed Deputy General Manager responsible for Finance and Administration at Çimsa in 2003. Appointed as General Manager of Çimsa on 1 July 2006 and General Manager of Akçansa on 1 September 2014, Hacıkamiloğlu has held the position of Head of Sabancı Holding's Industrial Group since 17 February 2016.

CENK ALPER

Cenk Alper obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from METU in 1991, a master's degree in 1994, and completed an MBA at Sabancı University in 2002. Beginning his career as a Process Engineer at Beksa in 1996, Alper held various management positions in Bekaert's international operations from 2002 to 2007. Joining Kordsa in 2007, Alper has held positions as Global Technology Director, Vice President of Technology and Market Development, and Vice President of Operations. He has served as CEO of Kordsa since 17 June 2013.
