MCNS: New PU Systems House in Saint Petersburg
MCNS, a polyurethane operation established as a joint venture between Japan's SKC and Mitsui Chemicals Inc., has announced plans to build its 12th system house in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
According to MCNS, the facility will serve as a production and sales base offering high-quality services such as customization of polyurethane foam material formulations to meet individual customer requirements.
At the 2019 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), held on 8 June 2019 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, MCNS signed an agreement with the SEZ chairman as well as city government officials and others regarding investment in the special economic zone (SEZ) and the purchase of land for the construction of the new system house in Russia. Under the terms of the agreement, MCNS will receive administrative support for approvals and licenses for factory construction.
MCNS stated that it plans to complete the system house with a production capacity of 15,000 tons/year by the first half of 2020. To this end, a company was established in April 2019 and factory design is currently underway.
