BOSİAD Environment Awards Announce Winners

Bursa business people rolled up their sleeves for a clean environment following vocational training efforts. Industrialists from BOSİAD, who produced a "rap" video for vocational training, this time took part in a "rock" video to deliver the message of "environmentally conscious industry." As the Bursa OSB and BOSİAD Environment-Conscious Industrial Facility Competition distributed awards to their winners, the video prepared to draw attention to "clean environment and clean production" generated significant interest. The winners of the Environment-Conscious Industrial Facility Competition, held for the fourth time this year under the slogan "Environmentally Responsible Production, Clean Future" by Bursa Organized Industrial Zone and Bursa Organized Industrial Zone Industrialists and Businessmen Association (BOSİAD), have been announced. The award ceremony was marked by a video prepared by BOSİAD, which took place before a traditional iftar dinner at Podium Davet. The Environment-Conscious Industrial Facility Competition awards ceremony was attended by Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat, CHP Bursa Member of Parliament Prof. Dr. Lale Karabıyık, Bursa Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. A. Saim Kılavuz, Nilüfer Municipality Mayor Turgay Erdem, BTSO Board Chairman Ali Uğur, managers of public institutions and civil society organizations, business world representatives and numerous guests.

Çağan: Our Goal Is to Raise Awareness of Environmentally Responsible Production

Speaking at the opening of the awards ceremony, BOSİAD Chairman Rasim Çağan said: "Although this is a competition, this competition has no loser and its winner will be Bursa. Our goal is to support environmentally responsible production and increase this awareness. Especially as an organized industrial zone located within the city, this is all the more important for us. As BOSİAD, we have two projects that we place great importance on during this period. One of them is a project to encourage vocational training. We have made considerable progress on this issue and have taken responsibility for Atatürk Industry Vocational High School, which is located within the boundaries of our industrial zone. Our purpose here is to educate students and teachers and to improve the school's infrastructure. To publicize this project to a wider audience, we used music's universal language. Starting from the same point, we wanted to prepare another video for the environment," he said. Bursa OSB Chairman Hüseyin Durmaz congratulated all Muslims on the Eid al-Fitr holiday and commended the companies that succeeded in the competition and received awards.

Uğur: I Congratulate Our Model Industrialists

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Chairman Ali Uğur emphasized that industrialization must be developed with approaches that value the environment rather than neglecting it, stating that only in this way can we achieve the development we desire and bring our country to full developed nation status.

Governor Canbolat Commends BOSİAD

Governor Yakup Canbolat commended BOSİAD for their environmental sensitivity, noting that production without consuming the environment is possible and that organized industrial zones have succeeded in this. The competition, for which applications and evaluations were conducted online with a sustainable environmentalist approach, was organized among Bursa OSB companies in three categories: High Environmental Polluting Effect Facilities, Environmental Polluting Effect Facilities, and Permit-License Exempt Facilities. Incentive awards were also given in the same categories.

Certificate of Appreciation Presented to Elsisan Makine

A certificate of appreciation was presented to Büşra Örs, Corporate Communications Specialist at Elsisan Makine, which participated in the competition and operates in Bursa, while certificates were presented to jury members by distinguished figures. In the "High Environmental Polluting Effect Facilities" category, the first-place winner was Rudolf Duraner; in the "Environmental Polluting Effect Facilities" category, Tredin Oto Donanım won first place; and in the "Permit-License Exempt Facilities" category, Çelikform Gestamp won first place. Environment incentive awards went to Korteks Mensucat in the same categories, and Magneti Marelli and Borusan Mannesmann in their respective categories. Certificates of appreciation were presented to jury members and companies participating in the competition, and following the awards ceremony, the traditional iftar program of Bursa OSB and BOSİAD was held.
