March inflation figures announced
Turkey's Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released inflation figures for March. According to the inflation figures published by TÜİK, inflation in March rose 3.16% on a monthly basis. Annual inflation increased by 68.50%.

Turkey's March inflation figures have been announced. According to figures released by TÜİK, inflation in March increased 3.16% on a monthly basis and 68.50% on an annual basis. Based on these figures, inflation reached 15% in the three-month period. Looking at changes in the CPI: compared to December of the previous year it was 15.06% and according to twelve-month averages it reached 57.50%.The group with the highest increase was education at 104.07%
Looking at main expenditure groups, the main group with the lowest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was clothing and footwear at 50.10%. The group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was education at 104.07%. The alcoholic beverages and tobacco group decreased 0.02% compared to the previous month. Unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and gold-excluding CPI showed a change in March of 3.14% compared to the previous month, 14.86% compared to December of the previous year, 71.89% compared to the same month of the previous year, and 62.61% according to twelve-month averages.Advertisement
