L'Oréal Turkey, in cooperation with UNESCO Turkey National Commission, has published the inspiring stories of award-winning female scientists within the scope of the "For Women in Science" Programme, which has reached its 23rd year this year. Published by Kırmızı Kedi Publishing House, the work titled "The Story of Brave Turkish Women in Pursuit of Science" aims to make visible the transformative power of science and women's pioneering role in this field.
The book features the experiences, struggles and achievements of 34 female scientists from all corners of Turkey who have changed the world in the light of science. These stories convey the message "You can do it too!" to young girls, reminding us once again that science cannot be limited by gender stereotypes.
Social Responsibility and Solidarity
All royalties from book sales will be donated to the Science Heroes Association. This donation will support children aged 8-12 in producing solutions for the future with robots. In this way, readers will not only meet inspiring stories but also contribute to the future of science.
Programme Impact
L'Oréal Turkey, which has awarded the projects of 128 female scientists to date, makes visible not only individual achievements but also collective transformation potential through these success stories. 100 of the award-winning female scientists continue their careers today as professor or associate professor.
