Legrand Turkey Group, which operates with products and systems developed for buildings, electrical and digital infrastructure, reaffirmed its vision to increase women's representation in the sector on the occasion of International Women's Day on 8 March.
Since 2018, the company has placed equal opportunity at the center of its corporate culture through the ellegrand initiative, positioning gender equality not merely as an internal approach but as a strategic responsibility area supporting the sector's transformation.
International Recognition with GEEIS Certification
Legrand Turkey Group earned the GEEIS (Gender Equality European & International Standard) certificate, created by Arborus and subject to independent audit, at the beginning of 2024 as a strong reflection of this vision. The company became the first manufacturing company in Turkey to receive this document and ensured the continuation of the certificate by successfully completing the surveillance audit carried out in 2025.
Concrete Support from Education to Career
The ellegrand project, conducted to encourage women's participation in working life, reached more than 5,000 people over a period exceeding five years.
Through scholarship support provided to 25 female students in cooperation with the Turkish Education Foundation, all students continued their education, with many pursuing career paths in technical fields. Through technical equipment support and educational visits to high schools and universities, access was provided to more than 5,000 students.

Within the organization, 33% of 35 women employees supported under mentoring programs conducted by volunteer leaders transitioned to a higher position or a different department they targeted. Additionally, since 2019, the company has provided administrative leave to female employees in years when International Women's Day falls on a working day.
"Equality is Part of Our Corporate DNA"
Gül Sevinç Selçuk, CMO of Legrand Turkey Group, stated that gender equality is one of the fundamental elements of a sustainable future, offering the following assessment:
"As Legrand Turkey Group, we believe that women need to be represented much more strongly in the business world and especially in technical fields. Since 2018, our ellegrand project, which we have carried out with great conviction, has transformed equal opportunity from a statement into a reality for our company and our sector. With our GEEIS certificate marking this journey, we accompany women in unlocking their potential through every step we take, from education scholarships to mentoring programs. We celebrate International Women's Day with all women with the determination to build a more inclusive and equal future."

Legrand Turkey Group continues to position gender equality as an integral part of its sustainability strategy through the ellegrand platform.
