Within K-Content Expo, 30 Korean content companies conducted over 500 meetings in Istanbul. The event showcased the growing K-Content enthusiasm among younger audiences.

K-Content Expo Turkey, held at Istanbul Haliç Congress Centre, concluded successfully with strong interest from both countries. The event created opportunities for discovering new business partnerships in the content sector and strengthening cultural and economic ties between Korea and Turkey.

Strong participation from Korean and Turkish companies
30 leading Korean content companies including MBC, KBS Media, Kakao Entertainment, Studio S and Kenaz participated in the fair alongside major Turkish broadcasters such as ACUNMEDYA, TRT and Kanal D. This opened doors to concrete collaborations. During the event, a total of 535 business meetings were held and licensing agreements valued at approximately USD 19.36 million were signed. Additionally, 6 memoranda of understanding (MOU) were signed between Korean and Turkish companies including Pawbulous, Aurora World and PH E&M. These developments created a solid foundation for mutual growth.

Strong interest in cultural programmes
At the K-Drama OST Concert, Huh Gak, Han Lee Eh and YouTuber God Dyu performed. The concert, which captivated audiences with beloved drama music, received enthusiastic responses particularly from audiences in their 20s to 30s. The event demonstrated the impact of rapidly growing K-pop, K-drama and K-entertainment content in Turkey and the strong fan communities formed around online communities and fan clubs.

New hub and collaboration steps from KOCCA
Within the fair framework, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) opened an Istanbul Business Centre and organised networking sessions with local companies and institutions. 30 Korean content companies conducted over 500 meetings in Istanbul, demonstrating K-Content enthusiasm among younger audiences. This strengthened the foundation for long-term collaborations. Istanbul is expected to become a new hub for Korean content between Europe and the Middle East.

Korean content opens doors to economic opportunities in Turkey
The event demonstrated that Korean content is not merely an export product; it is a strategic value that strengthens cultural empathy among young people and creates new economic opportunities. In the coming period, accelerated cultural and economic collaboration between Korea and Turkey is expected.
