Airborne and ViscoTec Solution Partnership

Airborne, a supplier of dosing pumps and dosing systems for medium and high-viscosity fluids, and ViscoTec announced on 6 March 2018 the launch of a business partnership to develop and supply an integrated automatic solution for filling honeycomb cores with putty compounds. Through this partnership, the composite manufacturing industry is offered a fully automatic integrated solution that enables lower end-product weight and significantly reduces labor, material consumption and defects.

Airborne and Plataine Solution Partnership

Airborne and Plataine, a leading provider of Industrial IoT and AI-based optimization solutions for advanced manufacturing, established a business partnership on 7 March for automatic composite kitting. By integrating Plataine's Cutting Plan Optimization Solution into Airborne's automatic kitting system, composite material usage can be optimized to final limits, resulting in minimized material waste and optimized factory logistics. One of the key advantages of an automatic kitting system is the ability to leverage Plataine's strong expertise in digitizing and optimizing complex manufacturing processes using AI-based algorithms that create Optimum Cutting Plans (nesting). Mixing product layers using the same raw material and creating an integrated method for dynamic nesting. Adopting these strategies to minimize material waste and optimize factory logistics reaches its highest level when integrated into Airborne's powerful hardware solution for automatic kitting.

Airborne and Gunnar Solution Partnership

Airborne and Gunnar announced on 7 March the launch of a business partnership to develop and supply integrated automatic ply cutting, transport, stacking and sorting solutions for composites and advanced materials. Through this partnership, fully integrated systems are provided to the composite production industry, enabling maximum composite material utilization while ensuring highest process safety. Airborne CEO Arno van Mourik stated, "Airborne and Gunnar have designed the same roadmap for automatic and digital composite manufacturing processes. We are able to provide our customers with fully integrated cutting and kitting solutions based on a modular and scalable concept offering the highest process flexibility at the lowest processing costs, resulting in significant cost reductions."
