Kolarc Makina Manufactures and Exports Inverters
Kolarc Makina, Turkey's first and only domestic solar inverter manufacturer, is developing different power electronics solutions for solar panels and welding machines. Inverters that convert energy obtained from the sun into electrical energy and make it suitable for the grid find customers not only in the domestic market but also in more than 20 countries.
Varank noted that he visited a company with serious production potential in the field of power electronics and expressed himself as follows:
"They started with small figures, namely 25-30 kilowatts, and are now selling 100 kilowatt solar panel inverters on the market. They are ready to introduce 167 kilowatt inverters to the market.
There is great effort worldwide to reduce carbon footprint. The way to do this is through greater investment in renewable energy."
Varank said they would provide the necessary support to the company, which has applied to become a Research and Development center in the field of power electronics. Pointing out that the facility is also conducting work on robots and inverter welding machine cooperation, communication and automation, he continued as follows:
"This automation will of course contribute to the digitalization process. We have always tried to copy the models of certain countries for ourselves. Industry 4.0, when you look at it, is actually a German brand.
But when we talk about digitalization today, our companies can produce high-tech electronic products themselves. But with their digitalization and automation solutions, our engineers can develop those solutions here themselves.
We need to see where Turkish industry has reached and if our SMEs are to digitalize, if we are to make industry more efficient through digitalization, then we must apply such domestic solutions to industry. In this sense, the work this company is doing is very valuable."
We are the first company in Turkey
Kolarc General Manager İlker Olucak stated that they set out to achieve firsts in the field of power electronics in Turkey and explained as follows: "With more than 40 engineers and 200 employees, we are currently the first company in our field in Turkey. There are examples in the sector of companies producing welding machines and inverters at the same time. We know the goals and figures these have reached worldwide. We accepted these international goals as our own targets. We will not fall short of them and are taking all steps rapidly to represent our country in the best possible way." Kolarc Makina and Solarkol Enerji, established by Koloğlu Holding, conduct Research and Development, design and manufacturing with 100 percent domestic capital and human resources. The company, which exports 30 percent of its production, aims to triple the 6 million dollars in exports it achieved last year in the current year.Advertisement
