Tezkim Ranks Among ISO's Second 500

Tezkim Advances to ISO Second 500 Based on research findings, Tezkim climbed 293 positions year-on-year to reach 85th place. Among the products derived from corn at Tezkim through its innovation-focused approach, bioethanol, carbon dioxide, citric acid and DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains With Solubles) stand out. Value-added products derived from corn and given new life at Tezkim facilities are used as inputs in production processes by companies operating in various sectors including food, energy, cosmetics, fuel, ink and cleaning.

Tezkim General Manager Ali Tezcan, expressing great satisfaction at being included in Turkey's Second 500 Major Industrial Enterprises 2021 Research, stated: "With Tezkim, which has demonstrated continuous growth since its establishment, we reduce Turkey's current account deficit by USD 100 million annually. As Tezkim Citric Acid Factory, we achieved our export targets set for the first year. We aim to increase export figures to the European market every year. As Tezkim Bioethanol Factory, we produce agricultural-origin and environmentally respectful alternatives to fossil-based petrochemical products. Innovation and R&D hold an important place in our production approach. In this context, we also prioritize production for different sectors. We have completed trial production of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), which is raw material for the cosmetics sector. We focus on areas where Turkey is import-dependent. Like we have done in citric acid, we aim to further reduce Turkey's import dependency through ENA production," he said.
