"100 Turks Who Shaped Chemistry Science"
Turkishtime's "100 Turkish Researchers Shaping Chemistry Science," conducted under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Adil Denizli, Faculty Member at Hacettepe University, Department of Chemistry, Division of Biochemistry, and Full Member of TÜBA, brought together leading scientists in the chemistry field. The study, which includes H-Index values as well as research areas, contributions to science and humanity, awards received and patents, aimed to create an inspiring resource for the new generation of scientists.
Within the scope of the Leaders in Science Research series launched in 2017, Turkishtime conducted research on 100 Turks Shaping Science in 2017 and 100 Turks Shaping Medical Science in 2018, sharing the results with the public as books. The organization continued this series this year with the 100 Turks Shaping Chemistry Science Research.
The research book prepared under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Adil Denizli and sponsorship of SANKO Holding-SUPER FILM listed Turkish scientists in the five main divisions of chemistry (Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry) according to the highest H-Index values (using Google Scholar database) showing the number of citations their research received and universally accepted.
The list included scientists continuing their work in the international arena such as Prof. Dr. Miral Dizdaroğlu, among the world's leading experts in DNA damage and DNA repair, as well as renowned researchers from Turkish universities such as Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı, a world authority in polymer chemistry, and Prof. Dr. Metin Balcı, one of the leading figures in organic chemistry.
Product of dedicated work
In the book bringing together successful Turkish scientists living in different parts of the world, particularly Turkey, under one roof, the success stories, research areas, and contributions to science and humanity of successful scientists in chemistry were detailed.
The book "100 Turks Shaping Chemistry Science," which emerged as the product of dedicated work, was prepared through intensive work by individually researching distinguished scientists who have devoted their academic careers to chemistry and chemical engineering. In this study, particularly those listed in the international Web of Science database were ranked according to H-Index data calculated by measuring both the productivity of publications made by scientists over many years and their citation impact. On the other hand, the number of citations received by academic names for their work in the SCI index was also taken into account.
Special delivery to 5,000 VIP addresses
The book prepared with SUPER FILM contributions will be delivered free of charge to 5,000 VIP addresses with personalized attention, including the Presidency, Ministries, Chemistry Sector NGO Representatives, representatives of the top 1,000 companies in the ranking of Chemical Substances and Products Exports, University Rectorates.
The book, which brings together successful Turkish scientists living in different parts of the world, particularly Turkey, under one roof, is expected to attract the attention of all researchers working in chemistry and chemical engineering as well as sub-divisions of these sciences; other disciplines such as physics, biology, medicine, nanotechnology; and interdisciplinary sciences.
