Kaleseramik, a leading firm in Turkey's ceramic sector, has qualified for support from TUBITAK's 1515 Pioneer R&D Laboratories Support Program with its "Ceramic Technologies Pioneer R&D Laboratory" to be established within its R&D Center. This strategic investment strengthens Kaleseramik's goal of directing the sector through advanced technology and sustainability-focused efforts.
Sustainable Production with Future Technologies
The newly established laboratory aims to reduce carbon emissions through water-based ink and digital glaze technologies, promoting environmentally friendly production processes. Laser-assisted sintering and surface repair operations will be developed to eliminate fossil fuel use, and work will be conducted on efficient and environmentally friendly microwave drying systems as an alternative to traditional natural gas-based drying methods.
Qualified Human Resources for the Sector
The laboratory will not only focus on technological development; it aims to train specialized researchers and qualified personnel for the sector through collaboration with academic institutions and international research centers. Targeting to be a center of attraction for young scientists and engineers, the laboratory will pioneer the emergence of new patents, academic publications, and industrial collaborations in the sector.

Founded in 1957 as Turkey's first ceramic tile manufacturer, Kaleseramik equipped its ongoing research and development tradition, which has continued since 1974, with its formally established R&D Center in 2012. The center conducts projects on five main axes: cost, quality, efficiency, adding value and functionality to products, and developing new fields of application.
