Kale Group Invests in Kalekim at the Heart of the Golden Circle

Kalekim, one of the Kale Group companies, has decided to build a factory in Balıkesir, one of the most important locations in the so-called "golden circle" region on the Istanbul-İzmir axis, with an investment of TRY 30 million.

Kalekim, a company from the Kale Group, has decided to establish a factory in Balıkesir with an investment of TRY 30 million, one of the most important points in the region known as the "golden circle" located between Istanbul and Izmir axes. Kale Group Chairman Zeynep Bodur Okyay said, "Balıkesir".

A signing ceremony was held for the new factory of Kalekim, the construction chemicals company of Kale Group, one of Turkey's leading industrial establishments, to be built in Balıkesir. Located in the heart of the region known as the golden circle, which lies on the Istanbul-Izmir axis and will be integrated with each other through many transportation investments in the near future; the new factory in Balıkesir will make a significant contribution to the regional economy. The signing ceremony for Kalekim's factory was attended by Balıkesir Governor and Chairman of Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone Management Board Ersin Yazıcı, Balıkesir Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Edip Uğur, Kale Group Chairman Zeynep Bodur Okyay and Balıkesir Chamber of Industry Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone Management Board İsmail Uğur. Kalekim, the leader in the construction chemicals sector with a 43-year history in Turkey, plans to open its 9th factory with an investment of TRY 30 million during the third quarter of 2017.
Kalekim, which produces in 5 geographical regions including Istanbul, Isparta, Mersin, Yozgat, Erzurum and Mardin, will add the Aegean Region to its factories together with Balıkesir, thus strengthening its position in the region and supporting its activities in the Marmara Region.
The factory, which will be realized with production capacity in all business lines where Kalekim operates and with a total revenue target of TRY 65 million, will produce all types of construction chemicals; ceramic adhesives, fillers, water and thermal insulation materials, interior and exterior facade paints and decorative exterior facade coatings. Speaking at the signing ceremony held at Balıkesir Chamber of Industry, Zeynep Bodur Okyay said, "Balıkesir, just like Çanakkale with which it is mentioned together, is a city to which we have strong affection. This city has a deep industrial culture. While working on this investment, we received great support and incentives from every level, from the Governor's Office to the Municipality, from chambers of industry and commerce to the organized industrial zone. I thank everyone gathered here today for the investment courage you have given us." Stating that Turkey's growth depends on industry, and that as a country we need to add at least four new attraction centers to Istanbul, Zeynep Bodur Okyay expressed that Balıkesir is among the cities with the brightest future on the Istanbul-Izmir axis. Zeynep Bodur Okyay said that as the Kale Group, they aim to add value to the city and strengthen their presence in the region with this investment.
