Dinçer: We Continue Our Export-Driven Growth Strategy

In a statement on the matter, Istanbul Mining Exporters Association (İMİB) President Aydın Dinçer stressed that as a result of the meetings, Turkish companies participating in the delegation had the opportunity to meet and establish business connections with major companies in the natural stone sector. Stating that the aim of İMİB is to maintain their positions in markets with high exports, Dinçer noted that they are working intensively to reach new markets and capture market share from these markets. Noting that Indonesia, which imported a total of USD 79 million in natural stone from the world in 2017, ranked 22nd among countries to which Turkey exports natural stone, Dinçer stated that the sector exported USD 8.2 million of natural stone to Indonesia in 2017. He noted that Malaysia, which imported a total of USD 93.3 million in natural stone from the world in 2017, ranked 55th in Turkey's natural stone exports and that the sector exported USD 2.18 million of natural stone to that country in 2017. İMİB President Aydın Dinçer stated that commercial connections established within the framework of trade delegations are reflected positively in export figures. Going forward, after a three to four month working period, we plan to organize sectoral trade delegations every two months to countries we will determine.
