IMCD Türkiye Donates Tablets to Village Schools
IMCD Provides Meaningful Support to "New World" Tablet Campaign
Within the scope of the "New World" tablet campaign launched by the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV) and the Association of Former Arçelik Employees (EAD) to ensure that children across Turkey benefit from contemporary educational opportunities and receive quality education support, donations from IMCD Turkey enabled 351 children to receive tablets for students with limited access to distance education.
Children studying in a total of 192 schools, including 73 village schools, across 26 provinces and 47 districts throughout Turkey have begun seamlessly accessing lessons provided by the Ministry of National Education through the EBA platform via the donated tablets. Children also benefit from the TEGV distance education platform, which includes Science, Mathematics, English, Computer Science, Reading and Social-Emotional Learning activities.
The campaign, which has connected 3,696 children with distance education to date, received meaningful support from IMCD Turkey.
With donations from IMCD Turkey, which believes in the power of education and supports educational opportunity equality through a corporate social responsibility campaign, a total of 351 children experienced the joy of receiving tablets: 134 students attending Şehit Yasemin Tekin Primary School in Ümraniye district, Istanbul; 21 students at Kızıllı Primary School in Kızıllı Village, Kepez district, Antalya; 29 students at Beykent Primary School in Beykent Village, Kurtalan district, Siirt; 52 students at Hamidiye Primary School in Dirsekli Village, Cizre district, Şırnak; 51 students attending schools in Çorum city center and Ortaköy district; and 56 students at various schools in Muradiye district, Van. In June, the IMCD Turkey team met with children who participated in the Science Café event at the TEGV Erçiş Learning Unit via Zoom platform and conducted a virtual laboratory tour for the children. Following the tour, the team organized a series of activities for the children regarding paint production, how chocolate milk is made and water-resistant t-shirt production, making the process enjoyable through experiments. The event concluded with the children's inquisitive questions and the cheerful conversation of the IMCD team.Advertisement
