IKMIB President Adil Pelister Assesses Structural Transformation Steps Under New Economic Program

Adil Pelister, President of the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association, issued a written assessment regarding the "New Economic Program Structural Transformation Steps 2019" announced by Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak. Pelister: "Within the scope of the New Economic Program (NEP), we regard the economic reform package announced by our Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak as a strategic step that will carry Turkish exporters into the future and serve as a driving force for our industrialists. Turkey faces a 4.5-year period without elections. As İKMİB, we are confident that during this period, with precisely targeted support matching the global vision drawn by our economic management and our expectations, we will break new records in exports. We are extremely satisfied that the petrochemical and pharmaceutical sectors under our association's umbrella are among the seven strategic sectors. To establish an economy aimed at export-based and high value-added technological production, we will fully carry out our responsibility. In this context, with the Export Master Plan to be announced by our Ministry of Commerce in August, we sincerely believe that we will open a new chapter in chemical exports with our high value-added products for international markets." he said.
