İKMİB to Hold 10th R&D Project Market

The 10th Chemical Substances and Products R&D Project Market is taking place this year. "Chemical Substances and Products R&D Project Market's 10th edition will be held digitally on 27 November this year. Organized under the approval of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, the coordination of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), and the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB), the ceremony will be broadcast live on İKMİB's YouTube channel. The "Chemistry R&D Project Market" has been organized since 2011. This event aims to contribute to the spread of R&D and innovation culture, provide technological solutions to meet the industry's intermediate goods needs, promote university-industry-public-entrepreneur cooperation, and increase high value-added production and exports. Total Prize Money of TRY 700,000 to be Awarded Applications will be evaluated in 6 categories: pharmaceuticals, medical devices, paints and adhesives, plastics and rubber, cosmetics-soap and cleaning products, and basic chemicals. At the ceremony where winners will be awarded, the first-place winner in each category will receive TRY 50,000, second place TRY 30,000, and third place TRY 20,000, totaling TRY 600,000, plus a special award of TRY 100,000 for commercialized projects, bringing the total prize money to TRY 700,000. The ceremony will also feature presentations of projects from previous years that achieved top rankings and reached a certain level of success. As a new element this year, within the scope of cooperation with fund providers, selected projects will have the opportunity to meet with investors. Projects that will have this opportunity will be selected from 42 finalist projects within the R&D Project Market framework.
