The Stars of Exports Award Ceremony Held

At the "Export Stars Awards Ceremony" organized by the Aegean Exporters Associations, 58 companies that contributed USD 7.6 billion to Turkish exports in 2022 were honored with awards.

PETKİM, Pergamon-Status and Kocaer Steel receive double awards

PETKİM Petrokimya Holding A.Ş. was the top exporting company among Aegean Exporters Associations members, while PETKİM Petrokimya Holding A.Ş. also achieved first place in the chemical sector. PERGAMON STATUS DIŞ TİCARET A.Ş. earned the award for the highest-exporting foreign trade capital company among Aegean Exporters Associations members in 2022, as it has in previous years. Pergamon-Status Dış Ticaret A.Ş. managed to secure the second position on the list of highest-exporting companies among EİB members. In 2022, the ferrous and non-ferrous metals sector within the Aegean Exporters Associations achieved export champion status with USD 2.56 billion in exports. Kocaer Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which made the largest contribution to this export, became the export champion in the Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Sector while ranking third within the EİB overall. Speaking at the awards ceremony, Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator Chairman of the Aegean Exporters Associations, stated that they achieved USD 18.3 billion in exports in 2022, with the export star companies realizing 42 percent of this export volume.

Eskinazi noted that 7,377 companies contributed to the Aegean Exporters Associations' USD 18.3 billion export figure in 2022 and continued as follows:

"Alongside our award-winning companies, we view all 7,377 companies that contributed to our 2022 exports as heroes, and we sincerely congratulate them. We are preparing for an exceptionally turbulent year—from inflation that has returned to the agenda after 40 years, to energy crises and economic instability. To maintain our current export figures in 2023, we will organize sectoral trade delegations to every point of the world from the Far East to Africa, organize national participation in the world's leading and most prestigious trade fairs, and enable our exporters to establish new business partnerships with importing companies through purchasing delegations. We will continue our TURQUALITY Project in the U.S. market in the coming period. Through our Design Competitions, we will continue to bring new visionary designers to our exporting sectors. We will add new projects to our URGE Projects. We will continue our efforts to establish the country's first Renewable Energy Equipment and Services Exporters Association."   At the EİB Export Stars Awards Ceremony, 48 of the award-winning companies maintained their position on the export stars list, while 10 companies successfully entered the export stars ranking this year. The companies included 38 from İzmir, 7 from Manisa, 5 from Aydın, 3 from Denizli, 2 each from Muğla and Uşak, and 1 from Balıkesir.
