Yurtbay Seramik Receives Export Champions Award

Turkey's Exporters Council Holds SME Export Campaign Training Program The "SME Export Campaign Training Program" organized by Turkey's Exporters Council took place on Friday, 19 November at Anadolu University in Eskişehir. Yurtbay Seramik was among the top 10 companies recognized as "Export Champions." The event held by Turkey's Exporters Council at Anadolu University was opened jointly by Eskişehir Governor Erol Ayyıldız and Turkey's Exporters Council (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle. The program, held in person, was attended by TİM Brand Council members, Young TİM members and İnovaTİM students. At the ceremony, awards were presented to the 10 companies that achieved the highest exports from Eskişehir in 2020 and to companies engaged in the highest value-added exports. Yurtbay Seramik, with its production facility in Eskişehir, was recognized for its outstanding achievements in exports. As one of Turkey's important ceramic sector brands, Yurtbay Seramik thus took its place in the "Champions League."

Exports to 70 countries

Receiving the award from Governor Ayyıldız and TİM Chairman Gülle at the ceremony, Yurtbay Seramik Deputy Chairman of the Board Z. İlter Yurtbay stated, "At the foundation of our success lies the 'quality first' principle we adopted from the day we started operations." Z. İlter Yurtbay continued his remarks by saying, "We believe that the condition for remaining established in the sector is production based on a high-quality approach and a customer-focused sales policy." Emphasizing the importance of competing through developing high value-added products rather than competing on prices in the global market, Z. İlter Yurtbay explained his company's achievements in the sector in this manner. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle stated that world trade experienced a significant contraction due to the pandemic effect and that Eskişehir's exports exceeded USD 927 million in 2020. Gülle also stressed that with their performance this year, they are advancing with confident steps toward breaking the record of the Republic's history. Gülle noted that Eskişehir's exports in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 25 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Within the framework of the "SME Export Campaign Training Program" organized by TİM, numerous seminars and activities were also held.
