İGA İstanbul Airport wins "Airport of the Year" award

İGA İstanbul Havalimanı has returned from "Air Transport Awards 2024" with the "Airport of the Year" award. The airport has achieved significant success by receiving this award four times within 5 years of operation. Awards were presented at "Air Transport Awards," a prestigious publication of the global aviation sector and the only international event that recognizes all major categories of the aviation industry. İGA İstanbul Havalimanı was once again the recipient of the "Airport of the Year" award. At the ceremony held in Ekali, Greece, the award was presented to Selahattin Bilgen, Deputy CEO of İGA İstanbul Havalimanı. İGA İstanbul Havalimanı, which was selected as "Airport of the Year" in 2021, 2022 and 2023 by outpacing competitors from around the world, has now achieved this success for the fourth consecutive time. The "Air Transport Awards," organized annually by Hermes - Air Transport Organization, ATN (Air Transport News) and ALA (America Latina Aeronoticias), are managed by a special jury selected by leading aviation sector organizations such as the Airports Council International (ACI), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Air Transport Association (IATA). The awards, consisting of 14 aviation sector categories, are given to individuals, institutions and companies that contribute to the sector's development. Winners are determined through voting participated in by more than 4,000 Air Transport News readers and executives in the aviation sector.
