Henkel Achieves EUR 22 Billion in Sales in Fiscal Year 2022 Henkel Group's sales in fiscal year 2022 reached EUR 22.397 billion. This corresponds to nominal growth of 11.6 percent driven by price increases across all business units, and significant organic sales growth of 8.8 percent. Henkel expects to achieve organic sales growth of between 1.0 and 3.0 percent in fiscal year 2023. In his statement, Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel said: "In a very challenging 2022, we achieved significant sales growth and strong profit performance. We succeeded in partially offsetting serious increases in raw material and logistics costs through higher prices and continued productivity improvements. This is reflected in our sales reaching a new peak of approximately EUR 22.4 billion and our operating profit of EUR 2.3 billion. In the current fiscal year, we are prepared for further growth with two of our business units, Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands." Despite a challenging macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, Henkel consistently implemented its strategy in 2022. The company further developed its business and brand portfolio, enhanced its competitive strength in innovation, sustainability and digitalization, optimized its operating models and strengthened its corporate culture. The key strategic focus in 2022 was the merger of the Laundry & Home Care and Beauty Care business units into an integrated Consumer Brands unit. New Business Unit "Consumer Brands" Successfully Established

In late January 2022, Henkel announced one of the company's most significant transformations of the past decade: the merger of two consumer business units into a single integrated business unit under the name "Consumer Brands". Successfully completed starting in early 2023, this new business unit brings together all consumer brands across all categories under one roof, including iconic brands such as Persil and Schwarzkopf, as well as the Professional Hair Care business unit. By doing so, Henkel has created a multi-category platform to grow sales that materialized at approximately EUR 11 billion in 2022. With this merger, Henkel aims to increase profitability in consumer product business units and thus across the Group, and to create additional growth momentum.

Henkel Increases Share of Electricity from Renewable Sources to 70 Percent
Additionally, Henkel further reinforced its commitment to sustainability in business processes. Henkel launched the "2030+ Sustainability Targets Framework" last year, containing new objectives and targets. In 2022, Henkel increased the share of electricity from renewable sources to 70 percent, bringing the company closer to its goal of climate-positive operations by 2030.
