Hayat Kimya, which brings strong brands such as Molfix, Molped, Bingo, Papia, and Familia to consumers, showcases the power of women at its R&D Center. Women make up 56% of employees at Hayat Kimya's R&D Center. Female scientists work with advanced technology equipment not only to develop new products but also with a comprehensive R&D approach spanning from raw materials to packaging development and production technologies that will increase efficiency. Hayat Kimya's brands, produced with advanced technology at 21 production facilities in countries such as Turkey, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Russia, and Pakistan, are used and loved by millions of people around the world. Hayat Kimya holds 7 registered patents in 68 countries worldwide and over 100 patent applications aimed at protecting both the production methods and formulations of its innovative products and the distinctive properties of these products.

61 female scientists

Among the hidden heroes of this global success are women dedicated to science and innovation. At Hayat Kimya's R&D Center, 56% of employees who contribute to bringing the innovation signature of Turkish brands to the world are women. At this center, which was recognized with the sector's "Best R&D Center" award, 61 female scientists conduct research and develop new products for innovative solutions that will make consumers' lives easier. Female scientists, 26 of whom hold master's degrees and 12 of whom hold doctorates, leave their mark on important projects that touch people's lives through their work. Idea factory Hayat Kimya positions its R&D center as a "Global Innovation Hub," where not only basic research and new product development activities take place, but also alternative raw materials, packaging, process development, and efficiency studies are carried out. By promoting an innovation culture, the R&D Center operates like an idea factory, and 20% of 354 ideas developed here have turned into innovative projects and come to life. In this way, different product and process innovation projects were launched in the areas of detergents, cleaning paper, baby diapers, and raw materials.

Healthy and sustainable innovation through female power

At the Global R&D Center, with the influence of "female power," health and sustainability trends are closely monitored and developed innovations are extended to different categories, creating important synergy. While developing products that are friendly to nature and skin, the 0% concept without dyes, parabens, chlorine, and nylon that started with Molped is carried forward to Molfix with fragrance-free, chlorine-free, paraben-free, and nonylphenol-free baby diapers. Hayat Kimya's researchers and engineers use innovation focused on delivering the best for public health. In this direction, during the pandemic that affected the entire world, they developed Evony and Good Care, offering surgical masks with three layers that provide separate protection in each layer and deliver up to 99% bacterial filtration to consumers. In this way, by using innovation for the benefit of society, they once again touched human lives.

Female power in R&D on social media

Hayat Kimya publishes short interviews conducted with 4 female scientists at its R&D Center on its own social media channels as part of International Women's Day on 8 March. Through a video series, it tells the story of the value created by female hands spanning from baby diapers to sanitary pads, detergents, and product packaging.
