23rd Future Outlook Meeting Held The 23rd 'Future Outlook Meeting,' held annually by Turkey Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV) to share work completed during the year and planned for the future, took place. The meeting, conducted online for three years due to the pandemic, was held in-person again on 7-9 August. The 23rd 'Future Outlook Meeting' of Turkey Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV), which provides quality education support at event venues across Turkey to raise contemporary generations under the motto "One Child Changes, Turkey Develops," was held at Özyeğin University. At the meeting attended by TEGV Board of Trustees Members, representatives from Board of Directors Members and all TEGV staff, work carried out following the earthquake on 6 February and activities conducted in 2023 and planned for the future were shared. The meeting, which was also attended by new TEGV staff employed in TEGV Learning Units established in a container city recently set up in the earthquake region, took place with approximately 150 participants. The 'Future Outlook Meeting,' held online for three years due to the pandemic, was organized in-person again this year.

TEGV Board of Directors Chairman M. Özalp Birol, noting the pride of having touched the lives of more than 3 million children, said the following in his speech at the meeting: "In 2023, during the 100th year of the Turkish Republic and our 28th year, having touched the lives of more than 3,100,000 children is a source of pride for all of us. Our Faces of the Republic project, launched in the 100th year of our Republic, is another justified pride of ours. As TEGV, we successfully use global technologies and now reach more of our children through hybrid models. Our work is monitored and taken as an example by the education world and the Ministry of National Education. Within this framework, we are conducting productive collaborations. We have a harmonious and highly qualified board of directors, professional management, and a wonderful team of which you are an essential part. That is why, shortly after the great earthquake we experienced on 6 February in 11 of our provinces, which saddened all of us, we were able to immediately move to that region with our Fireflies as TEGV and start working right away. We continue to serve the people and children of the region with activities suited to our social and emotional post-disaster response programs, working with you who are doing tireless work. We are working to meet their basic and urgent needs and ensure the continuity of education. We are establishing learning units in container cities for the first time. Following the earthquake, we gained many new national and international donors. The number of foreign funds we receive support from has increased. That is, as people who have given their hearts to Turkey Education Volunteers Foundation, together with our approximately 100,000 valued volunteers, as Faces of the Republic we are working hard for Turkey and will continue to do so."
