Fırat Tanış Supports 'Goodness Is In Our Genes' Project
Fırat Tanış's beloved 'Come Let's Get Acquainted' play this time carried an invitation to goodness. At an event held within the scope of the 'Goodness Is In Our Genes' awareness project, Fırat Tanış drew attention to the importance of bone marrow donation and called on everyone to become donors.
On 19 September, the 'Come Let's Get Acquainted with Fırat Tanış' play, staged specially for 'World Bone Marrow Donor Day' at Ankara MEB Assembly, was met with great appreciation.
At the event specially organized for the "Goodness Is In Our Genes" project, held with the participation of Türkkök, Red Crescent, Cancer Fighters Association and the unconditional support of GEN, the importance of bone marrow donation was emphasized.
Internal Medicine Specialist Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çetiner, providing information about the project, emphasized that Turkey has a very successful bone marrow banking system, and stated:
"During the pandemic period, there was a significant decline in stem cell donation rates. This negatively affected thousands of patients and their relatives waiting for bone marrow transplants to hold onto life. With this project, we want to increase donation rates. Because goodness is in all of our genes. We need to activate this goodness and become donors." Prof. Dr. Çetiner, also providing information about the steps to becoming a bone marrow donor, noted that anyone between the ages of 18-50 without chronic disease can be a donor. Stating that giving just 3 tubes of blood is sufficient as the first step to becoming a donor, Prof. Dr. Çetiner said it is important to apply to relevant centers such as the Red Crescent and obtain detailed information from authorities on the subject to become a donor. Following the 'Come Let's Get Acquainted' play, information was provided to guests who wished to become donors."Goodness Is In Our Genes"
