Eti Bakır becomes a mining analysis hub in Central Asia

Eti Bakır's investment in Kyrgyzstan: The Chemical-Analytical Laboratory of Eti Bakır Tereksay has achieved accreditation to international standards and established itself as a regional analysis centre. The laboratory can now provide analysis services to companies from different countries.

The laboratory within Eti Bakır Tereksay Operations, which conducts gold ore production in Kyrgyzstan, has been certified as compliant with the ISO 17025:2017 standard, one of the important indicators of international quality and reliability. This accreditation, granted by the Kyrgyzstan Central Accreditation Body, demonstrates that the laboratory's analysis results have international validity.

To provide international analysis services
With the accreditation, the laboratory can now present its analyses on ore and concentrate samples—including gold (Au), silver (Ag), carbon (C) and sulfur (S)—to international standards.

Engin Hacıislamoğlu, Head of the Eti Bakır Tereksay Chemical-Analytical Laboratory, stated that the accreditation holds critical importance in terms of the accuracy and reliability of analyses. Hacıislamoğlu expressed that the laboratory has achieved strong synergy with both Turkish and Kyrgyz expert staff, saying, "This accreditation officially confirms the accuracy of our analyses and the technological maturity of our laboratory processes."

Capacity of over 500 analyses per day
The laboratory, with a total expert staff of 44 people, stands out with its capacity to perform over 500 analyses daily. Through strong technological infrastructure and advanced methods, the margin of error is minimized while ensuring high reliability of the obtained data.

Aim to become a regional centre
With the accreditation obtained, the facility has become an important centre for mining analyses in Central Asia, and plans to continue investments in laboratory and analysis infrastructure in the coming period.
