Aegean Exporters' Associations Deliver TRY 1 Billion 60 Million in State Aid to Exporters

The Aegean Exporters' Associations, which travel from province to province across the Aegean Region to inform exporters about the state aid provided by the Ministry of Trade and aim to increase exporters' utilization of these incentives, facilitated the delivery of TRY 1.06 billion in state support to exporters in the January–June period of 2025.

Aegean Exporters Unions, conducting province-by-province visits in the Aegean Region to inform exporters about state aid provided by the Ministry of Trade and aiming for greater utilization of government support, facilitated the transfer of TRY 1,060 million in state support to exporters during the January–June period of 2025.

In the first half of 2024, Aegean Exporters Unions had ensured the transfer of TRY 563.262 million in state aid to exporters. A 88% increase occurred in the state aid mediated by AEU.

Aegean Exporters Unions members who benefited from TRY 1,060 million in state aid in the first half of 2025 achieved USD 9,022 million in exports.

Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator Chairman of Aegean Exporters Unions, emphasized that while exporting companies struggle to compete with rivals in export markets amid high inflation, high interest rates and weak currency dynamics, state aid serves as a lifeline for exporters.

Sharing that the Ministry of Trade budget allocated funds for TRY 33 billion in state aid to exporters for 2025, Eskinazi stated that they are working intensively to ensure full utilization of this budget.

Support should be increased proportionally to 1% of our exports
Eskinazi, saying "The state aid department is the largest team within Aegean Exporters Unions," continued, "While 1,326 companies and cooperative organizations benefited from government support during the January–June period of 2024, in 2025 we completed government support applications from 1,704 companies and cooperative organizations. The 29% increase in the number of companies utilizing government aid following our 'Aegean Business World Meetings' series held in all provinces of the Aegean Region is gratifying. During a period of intensifying global competition, we reiterate our demand that exporters receive government support equivalent to 1% of our annual exports," he said.

In 2024, Aegean Exporters Unions mediated the transfer of TRY 1,261 million in state aid to exporting companies and cooperative organizations.

International fair participation, TURQUALITY and agricultural support top three
While the Ministry of Trade provides state aid to exporters in 16 categories, in the first half of 2025 international fair participation led the support mediated by Aegean Exporters Unions with TRY 389.780 million. TURQUALITY support ranked second with TRY 207.936 million, while agricultural support ranked third with TRY 180.039 million. Domestic fair participation support amounted to TRY 86.952 million, market entry support to TRY 79.552 million, unit rent support to TRY 42.142 million, sectoral delegation support to TRY 29.202 million, and e-export support to TRY 18.330 million.
