DuPont to Be Recognized for Innovation in New Era
DuPont, a company known for discovery and science for over 200 years across many different sectors, has introduced its new brand identity. DuPont stated that in this new period, while placing emphasis on innovation, it will also preserve its strong heritage.
Following the merger process, DowDuPont was set to be completely dissolved on 1 June 2019. However, in a statement from the company's headquarters, it was announced in February 2018 that the Specialty Products Division would continue as an independent company under the DuPont name.
The company announced that as of 3 October 2018, DuPont's new logo would begin to be published on the company's digital channels. DuPont, generally remaining faithful to the old logo format, also disclosed that it would place emphasis on innovation in its new period.
DowDuPont Specialty Products Division Communications Director Barbara Pandos, commenting on the matter, said: "Our new brand work is one of many steps we have taken in DuPont's transformation and reinforces what we have done.
This is helping our customers solve their complex problems and transform their best ideas into real products and solutions." She added:
"The new logo preserves the iconic DuPont oval that has been a hallmark of quality, performance and trust for more than a century, while breaking beyond the oval frame to signal openness to collaboration, the flow of new ideas and innovation."
Following the new company's launch, the company's packaging and signage will also change gradually.
Among DuPont's best-known product brands are Kevlar®, Tyvek® high-performance materials, Sorona® renewable-sourced fabrics and Danisco® food ingredients, as well as Great Stuff™ insulation foam, which will continue to be part of the new DuPont's product portfolio.
