World Paint Association and Turkish Paint Manufacturers Association Hold Joint Meeting in Istanbul

World Paint Association and Turkey Paint Manufacturers Association Joint Meeting in Istanbul Senior representatives of 13 different associations operating in many countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, China, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Spain, Germany and France will come to Turkey as a delegation of 30 people under the hosting of BOSAD to discuss the global paints sector, trends and the sector's future on a global scale.   The paints and coatings sector, with a volume of USD 164 billion, will be examined by the World Paint Association and the Turkey Paint Manufacturers Association. The meeting, held annually in different cities around the world, will bring the sector together on Wednesday, 15 March at Istanbul Swissotel The Bosphorus under the main sponsorship of İKMİB. The joint meeting will take place under the hosting of the Paint Manufacturers Association (BOSAD), which is a member of the World Paint Association and marks its 20th year, crowned by the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic. Distinguished speakers at this joint meeting will shed light on the sector with their presentations. At the opening address at 10:00, World Paint Association Chairman Tom BOWTELL, Paint Manufacturers Association Chairman M. Akın AKÇALI, and İKMİB Chairman Adil PELİSTER will welcome the participants and respectively evaluate the Turkish paints and chemical industries. Following Denon Partners Founder Fatih Keresteci's presentation on "A Look at Turkey's Economy in the Light of Global Developments and in the Shadow of Elections" shared with participants; the program will continue with a presentation by Turkey Chemical Manufacturers Association Board Member Derya ERÇIKAN titled "KKDIK and the Management System for Chemicals in Turkey". World Paint Association Chairman Tom BOWTELL, who has been working for over 20 years to develop communication and coordinate policies on issues of international concern to the paints and printing inks industry, will deliver the World Paint Association presentation. Following Mr. BOWTELL, ChemQuest CEO Daniel MURAD will address participants with a presentation on the Current State of the Global Paints Sector.  

Expert Speakers Will Evaluate the Sector at This Meeting

Following the presentations, in the panel titled "Major Developments in the Global and Turkish Paint Sectors" moderated by Hasan ŞEREFHAN; Monica ALCALA and Dilek SARIASLAN will provide detailed information on "Sustainability". "Microplastics", which is among the most important topics today, will be evaluated by Martin Kanert. Finally in the panel, Bernard LEE and Dr. Aslı EGE will contribute with the topic "Global Perspective on Restrictions on Biocide Use". At this joint meeting, which is of great importance for the paints sector, sector stakeholders from many parts of the world and from our country will have the opportunity to listen to and evaluate important issues from experts in the field.
