OQ Chemicals (formerly Oxea) reaffirms its commitment to guiding the industry on the inherent benefits and efficiencies of best-in-class propyl blends, reaching printing and flexible packaging markets ahead of Drupa 2021.

The company promotes the core benefits of less solvent, less ink and less waste when selecting OQ Propyls, enabling printers to overcome today's pressing challenges and position Propyls as a complete replacement for traditional solvents in rotogravure or flexographic printing operations.

Through research conducted with leading printers and ink manufacturers in over 40 trials at industrial scale, OQ has demonstrated that propyl-based ink solvents deliver a more stable process, less foam formation, less clogging, less scrap and fewer delays, in addition to quality and long-term cost savings improvements.

OQ's Global Marketing Director, Markus Hoschke, states: "By supplying both the polymers used for film substrates and the Propyls solvent system for printing, and by strategically positioning storage centres in Europe, Asia and America, we can bring more comprehensive packaging and printing solutions to the industry."

With processes and storage facilities to help alleviate the industry's concerns regarding shipping, logistics, supply and localized customer service, OQ is ready to support the flexible packaging industry as it continues to grow at an accelerating rate of 4-5 per cent per year.

Hoschke says: "We want our customers to know that we are listening and that we are here to help them overcome today's and tomorrow's challenges."

In addition to the expert team available virtually to meet with existing and prospective customers through the event's networking tool, OQ will also host a special Drupa Web Session on 21 April. The Web Session will focus on how OQ Propyls solvent blends can help printers achieve their targets and serve as a compatible solution for other alcohols in the printing industry.
