DowAksa Among Turkey's Export Giants

DowAksa, operating in Yalova, has achieved another export success. One of Turkey's first and only, and among the world's limited carbon fiber producers, the company ranked 236th on the "Turkey's Top 1000 Exporters" list this year with USD 96 million in exports. The results of the "Turkey's Top 1000 Exporters" research conducted by the Turkish Exporters Assembly have been announced. DowAksa, which produces in Yalova, has taken its place among Turkey's export leaders this year. The company, which exported a total of USD 96 million in 2021, rose 33 places in the overall ranking to secure 236th position. DowAksa also managed to rank 11th in its sectoral category. DowAksa Chairman of the Board of Directors Douglas Parks said they were pleased to be strengthening Yalova and Turkey through exports.

We will create 500 new jobs in Yalova

Parks noted that DowAksa has high growth and export potential, stating: "Carbon fiber produced solely by DowAksa in Turkey provides serious economic support to the country and Yalova through its strategic share in exports and creates employment. The knowledge and experience of Dow, combined with Aksa Akrilik's strong infrastructure that creates a favorable environment for growth, and our innovative work in research and development, have enabled our company to prove its success on the international stage. Our product receives very high demand from our international business partners. To meet this demand, we will bring our new facility, which is built on an area of 117,000 square meters and will create employment for 500 people in Yalova, to full production capacity next year. We will provide increasing support to our home Yalova and Turkey every year through production, employment and exports."
