Long-Term Support from Danone Türkiye to Hatay:

Danone Türkiye aims to turn solidarity into lasting recovery through the projects it has carried out under the "Yarına Bir'İz" corporate social responsibility program, launched in Hatay following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Ranging from housing to health and from youth development to social solidarity, these efforts provide concrete, long-term contributions across various fields.

Danone Turkey is transforming solidarity into lasting recovery through projects implemented under its "A Mark for Tomorrow" corporate social responsibility program in Hatay following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Initiatives spanning housing, health, youth development and community solidarity provide concrete and long-term contributions across diverse areas.

Operating for over 100 years globally and more than 40 years in Turkey with the mission of "delivering health through food to the maximum number of people possible," Danone Turkey is advancing its corporate responsibility approach to a new stage through the "A Mark for Tomorrow" program.

Established to support the reconstruction process in Hatay, which was affected by the 6 February Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, the program is implemented through collaboration between Danone Turkey and partner organization Gülmek İyileştirir Derneği. The program creates a multidimensional impact area encompassing environmental sustainability, access to health services, youth development and strengthening of community solidarity.

Supporting reconstruction in Hatay
To support life being rebuilt in Hatay, Danone Turkey has taken on production of compressed earth bricks used in the first two phases of the 100th Anniversary Village project as sustainability sponsor. These bricks, produced from Hatay soil, stand out for their reusable, recyclable and low environmental impact characteristics, while contributing to sustainable use of the region's natural resources.

In the health sector, approximately 100 medical devices were provided to the pediatric and neonatal departments of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Hospital, strengthening health services. Additionally, two play rooms established in the pediatric outpatient clinic supported children's psychosocial recovery processes.

Youth development program
The program also implemented initiatives to prepare youth for the future. Through the "Strong Generations, Strong Future" development and mentoring program, 20 young people affected by the earthquake received support for their personal, social and professional development. One-to-one mentoring processes involving Danone employees aimed to help young people discover their potential and prepare more strongly for the future.

"Social benefit means building the future together"
Cem Küçükcan, General Manager of Danone Turkey, Central Asia, Caucasus, Middle East and Africa, commented on the project as follows:

"As Danone, we know our responsibility is not limited by factory walls. In line with our understanding of creating value for society, we prioritize developing sustainable and lasting solutions. Under the 'A Mark for Tomorrow' banner, we are contributing to Hatay's reconstruction process through environmental, social and health-based projects. Because solidarity is not just about improving today, it is about building the future together."

Corporate approach converted into benefit
Danone Turkey's "A Mark for Tomorrow" program is positioned as part of the company's vision of creating long-term social impact, aligned with its B Corp (Benefit Corporation) certification. The company continues developing models that transform post-disaster solidarity into lasting recovery by increasing health and nutrition-focused social benefit projects.
