Clariant to Invest in New Additives Plants in China

Clariant is setting up two additional additives facilities in China to deliver innovative, sustainable and customised solutions with shorter lead times. Clariant is underlining its commitment to Asia through a multi-million CHF investment in its Additives operations to enable local manufacturing of customised, high-performance solutions for the Plastics, Paints & Coatings and Inks industries. With this investment, the Additives Business Unit will add its first two fully-fledged production facilities to the company's long-standing commercial and technical support network. This will enable the Additives Business Unit to better respond to growing demand for innovative and sustainable solutions in Asia. For example, the water-based coatings market in the Asia-Pacific region is estimated to grow from USD 15 billion in 2015 to USD 19 billion by 2020.
