Cement Sector Increases Exports in January
According to January data for the cement sector, the locomotive of Turkey's economy, exports rose 49.3%.
The Türkiye Çimento Müstahsilleri Birliği announced January 2020 export data for the cement sector. According to data obtained from TUİK, cement sector exports in January of this year rose 49.3% compared to the same period last year. Export revenue increased 31.5% to USD 82 million. In January 2020, cement exports rose 80.6% to 1.1 million tonnes, while clinker exports increased 28.9% to 1.3 million tonnes.Exports went primarily to the United States and Ghana
According to TUİK data, in January cement and clinker exports went mainly to the United States, followed by Ghana, Israel and Côte d'Ivoire. Other markets showing increased export shares included Guinea, Mauritania and Brazil.Advertisement
